Well, it's been quite some time since I sat down and composed anything here (over a month! Ouch!) But, in my defense, I have been on holidays with the family over the last few weeks and I am just getting back into the school mode. I just started what should be my last class and then work on the thesis. I have started writing some preliminary chapters including the intro and lit reviews, so I haven't been totally on holidays. Also, on the recommendation of one of my supervisors, I have started to read "The World is Flat" by Thomas Friedman. I have to admit that so far it is a very interesting read. I agree generally with much of what he is saying. I just find it fascinating what some countries are doing to promote themselves.
Anyways, I just needed to get something down as a way of trying to kick start the process again. My plan is to use this blog as my reflection for the course I am currently taking (Quantitative Research Methods) and then also for my thesis. One more thing; I have just installed Ubuntu which is a flavor of Linux. I am using it in conjunction with Windows on my Laptop. I have only been using it for a couple of days, but so far I like it. I guess now I just need to dust off the old command line skills from when I used to use DOS...! I will also try to keep this updated as to my experiences with it.
